What’s Ailing Israel via Andrew Sullivan

The cognitive dissonance of the majority of Israelis desiring a two-state solution and not understanding parts of the immorality and self-destructive powers of new settlements must one day push the peoples towards a boiling point yet again. In the context of the Arab Spring, I cannot yet imagine what a third Intifada would do for the stability of the region.

“a sweeping majority of Israelis – 63.5%, to be exact – think the Jordan valley is part of Israel; in other words, not part of the West Bank; or, in plain words, don’t understand why or how Israeli presence there is being called into question.” http://972mag.com/polljordanvalley/
